Partnered programs

In addition to Antigenics’ internal programs, the company has ongoing research collaborations with major academic institutions as well as corporate partnerships with pharmaceutical companies that have licensed the QS-21 adjuvant for a variety of human diseases. In return for rights to use the QS-21 adjuvant for specific diseases, the corporate partners, which include GlaxoSmithKline, Wyeth-Lederle Vaccines, Aventis Pasteur, Acambis, Progenics Pharmaceuticals and Elan Corporation, have agreed to pay Antigenics license fees, milestone payments, and royalties on product sales. Currently, Antigenics also has partnership opportunities available for two of its lead products, Oncophage and Aroplatin.
